Basic Neurolinguistic Tools

Neurolinguistic tools are mantras, affirmations, and visualizations that you can use to help reprogram your brain and shape your reality in ways that make healing and connection easier. The examples below are key tools taken from the LP Workbooks. Memorize them and use them to point yourself in the appropriate direction.

Affirmation of Connection

An Affirmation of Connection affirms your desire and intent to wake up, move forward, empower, and connect. Repeating this mantra will help facilitate connection experiences. The more you repeat this mantra and the more force you put behind it, the more effective it will be, and the faster you will move towards connection. If you like, you can use the Connection Archetype card from the TOSAS to strengthen the affirmation’s effect.

Boundary Visualization

A Boundary Visualization helps create healthy boundaries around your self and others. The easiest and most effective boundary visualization you can do is to simply visualize a ball of light around your body (see below). For strongest effect, do the visualization when you wake up in the morning, several times throughout your day, and before you go to bed at night. If you do this visualization regularly, you will see that toxic people will gradually disappear from your life, and you will be given opportunities to improve your environment.

Visualize a ball of light surrounding your body, your children, your home, and anything else you want to protect. Make this ball bright, powerful, and impenetrable to all toxicity and negativity. Visualize arrows of light getting in, but see black darts of toxic energy bouncing off the hard exterior shell. Visualize the ball grow brighter and stronger. Each time you visualize, add more energy and power to the ball till eventually it is strong enough to protect you from all the toxicity that surrounds you.

Affirmation of Self

An Affirmation of Self is an affirmation of your power, ability, and mastery. It is a disinfectant for your psychic wounds, a salve against infection, and a tool to grow your confidence and power. You should use it daily, when you are on walks, before you go to sleep at night, and whenever you are feeling down, depressed, worthless, incompetent, and unsure. You can use the Master Archetype or Joyful Archetype from the TOSAS to help reinforce the affirmation of self.

I am powerful. I am healthy.
I am beautiful. I am strong.
I am confident. I am competant.
I am worthy of full connection.

SAAR Affirmation

A SAAR Affirmation (See, Accept, be Accountable, be Responsible) is designed to encourage you to see the truth, accept the truth, be accountable for your role in the toxicity, take responsibility, and atone for any damage that you have done. This affirmation should be used after you are familiar with the LP Connection Framework, discussed in LP Workbook Three. For best results, repeat this mantra often. Also keep in mind, this affirmation is powerful and things can get overwhelming when you use it. Stop practicing the affirmation if things get to be too much too handle.

Today I will see the toxicity that surrounds me,

Today I will accept that it is unhealthy and disconnecting.

Today I will be accountable for all my toxic actions.

Today I will take responsibility for the bad things I can change.

Affirmation of Love and Power

From LP Workbook Four. An Affirmation of Love and Power can be used to quell the anxiety, fear, paranioa, and self-doubt you sometimes experience during Normal Conscousness and during a Connection Event. To use, simply breathe deep and recite the affirmation until you are calm, centered, grounded, and in control.

The universe is a universe of love and compassion.
I am a being of power and might.
I am safe. I am loved. I am loving. I am Light.
I have the authority to make this all right.
